Scripture Champions

Privacy Policy

Effective October 25, 2026

Scripture Champions is a Bible learning app for children, made by Tim Taylor. This policy covers the Scripture Champions apps for iPhone, iPad and Android, and the website at scripturechampions.com.

The short version

Children never sign in and we collect no personal information from them. There are no ads, no analytics and no tracking. A grown-up may choose to create a family account so progress follows the family between devices; that account holds an email address and the players’ saved progress, and the grown-up can delete it at any time.

What stays on the device

The names and ages entered for players, their progress, stars, badges and the answers to the decision cards are stored on the device, in the app’s own storage. Unless a grown-up signs in to a family account (below), none of it is sent to us or to anyone else. Deleting the app or clearing the browser’s data deletes it.

Family accounts (optional)

A grown-up can choose to sign in with Apple, Google or an emailed code, from the welcome screen on a new device or from the For grown-ups page. Sign-in is meant for the parent or guardian; children do not need their own login. When a grown-up signs in, we store on our servers (Cloudflare, in the United States): the grown-up’s email address (or Apple’s private relay address), an account identifier, and each player’s saved progress, which includes the first name and age the family entered, lessons and stars, badges, points, Bible characters, verses and missions. We use this only to save progress and show it on the family’s other devices. We never sell it, never use it for advertising, and never share it except with the services that run the app (Cloudflare for hosting, Resend to send sign-in codes, and RevenueCat to keep track of memberships).

When you sign in with Apple or Google, they tell us only your email address and an identifier for your account. We do not receive your password, contacts or anything else.

A child’s private decisions, voice recordings and purchases are never sent to the account.

Signing out removes the account from that device. Delete family account (on the same page) permanently deletes the account and everything saved online. Progress on the device itself stays until the app is deleted.

Voice recordings

Near the end of each quest, a child can record themselves saying that quest’s “I am” statement and play it back. The app asks for the microphone only when the child taps the record button, and only with the device’s permission. Recordings are saved only on the device. They are never uploaded or sent to us or anyone else. Removing a player deletes that player’s recordings. Deleting the app deletes all of them.

Free Bibles

On any screen that asks a child to open a Bible, a grown-up can request a free one. Tapping it opens the grown-up’s own email app with a request addressed to bibles@scripturechampions.com. The app sends nothing itself. If the grown-up chooses to send that email, we use the name and mailing address in it only to mail the Bible, and we do not share it.

Memberships and payments

Memberships bought in the apps are paid through Apple’s App Store or Google Play, and Apple or Google handles the payment. Memberships bought on the website are paid by card through Stripe. We never see or store card numbers.

We use RevenueCat to keep track of who is a member, so a membership works on every device in the family. RevenueCat receives your family account’s identifier and the details of the purchase from Apple, Google or Stripe (the plan, its dates, and the store it came from). For a website purchase, Stripe also receives the email address and payment details you enter at checkout. None of this is used for advertising, and children never see or enter any payment information.

Audio and the website

The voices of Levi and Lily are streamed from scripturechampions.com as the child plays. Like any website, our host (Cloudflare) briefly processes the device’s IP address to deliver those files. We do not use it to identify anyone or keep it for any other purpose.

Children

Scripture Champions is made for children ages 6 through 12. Unless a grown-up chooses to sign in to a family account, we collect no personal information. A signed-in grown-up can delete the account and everything saved online at any time from the For grown-ups page, or write to us at the address below.

Third parties

The apps contain no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking software. The services that run Scripture Champions are Cloudflare (hosting and saved progress), Resend (sign-in codes by email), RevenueCat (memberships) and, for website purchases, Stripe (payments). Scripture quotations are from the Holy Bible, New Living Translation.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date.
